BUT be very Careful, I've purchased nearly 20 from several sources, ALL were Counterfiet, manmade errors. Straight Clips Curved clips, Large & small double Clips. All had evidence & attempts to hide the grinding marks that showed them as fakes.. These fakes were so well done they would fool many, many collectors... Here are some of the characteristics we found on these fakes. 1. Highly polished surface on the inside edge of the clip. 2. file & Grinding marks

   These 2005 errors can be real tempting ( for me also) and it's easy to leap early at these desireable errors. Especially in an auction such as on Ebay or elswhere. These are considered very very scarce errors especially with all the new error FREE minting equipment the US Mints have installed in recent years.. So when all these nunerous errors surface, you just have to raise an eyebrow!! I was offered 20 from one source and 6 from another.

   So if your going to chance it, Make sure you check out the sellers feedback & get a full return privilage if they prove to be fakes. This last example was on a faked straight clip. It's apparant that some crooks are seeing the possible huge profits from counterfieting 2005 errors, so expect the same for 2006. Learn what a real clip looks like, its appearance & characteristics. Learn about metal flow, Blakesly effect, metal shearing, better yet buy the BOOK before the coin! Your wallet will be glad you did.
