It's NOT new news! The error coin market is not just a bull market, it has turned into a stampede! Any major high grade error coin that is not nailed down is swept up by the mass of new collectors and dealers that have entered this part of numismatics. Many new record prices are being set for rare, high grade, eye appealing certified errors. A few may choose to sit and wait by the side lines, but with the way this market is going, you either jump in or be left behind! My advice to any new-comers - purchase only PCGS and NGC certified errors, as I believe |
these are the safest purchases for the novice error collector.
There are other certification services which are pretty good, but these
are the ones I recommend.
One thing to always remember, however, is to buy the individual coin and not the "label" on the slab. If you are not sure, just stay with the two certification services I recommend. Good hunting, and remember to buy only good, eye appealing error coins.
