Sit Back on those 2001 Errors

Are you one of those collectors that has to be the first one on your block to have one? The 2001 errors have started to come out, and are commanding pretty high prices on eBay. Seems like everyone has to have the first one of any type to come out...and they pay a high premium for that privilege. If you honestly don't think the first one offered will be the last one for sale (and we don't) then sit back and watch the hype, then buy when the dust settles - there will almost certainly be other nice 2001 errors available soon enough. A thought to ponder - what if a THOUSAND off metals, let's say cents on dimes, are accidentally released. Would you rather have purchased

yours in February or later in the year, once the true number of these errors that have been released is out? Now we're not telling you to avoid that single, seldom seen error coin - all we're saying is slow down, plan a buying strategy with prices that are realistic (and that you can afford) and stick with it. You will be happy you did! Once again remember, we're just talking about those errors you see on a weekly, monthly basis here. We're not talking about the rare error types that may not surface for another ten years. That's a different ball game entirely.
