New State Quarter Errors ! where are they?

Are the new screening methods of the Mint working?

Seems like fewer & fewer New State Quarter errors are finding their way into the market place. How many Virginia or Rhode Island major errors have you seen? 50% Off Centers, Double strikes, Off Metals ????

One of two things have happened! either the new US Mint screening methods are working extremely well OR the threats to cancel rolling company contracts if the found Mint errors are not returned to the Mint .

One thing for sure! very few State Quarter errors are getting to the public. Now, this has another type of impact on the market..

First it naturally to raise the prices of older State Quarter errors and naturally skyrocket those of any of the newer State Quarters.

Secondly, and we're starting to see this happen already! Change the focus from State Quarters to the Older Type (previous made) error coins . Those like Wheat cents, Indian cents, Morgan Dollars etc. etc. and the past older Clad Washington quarters. We're seeing large price increases on these other series as collector & dealers are realizing these are very undervalued. There are many series of coinage out there that have been overlooked for many years for their errors. Not anymore! Pick a series!

Pick a high grade Major error.. It's bound to be a winner as things are currently going. I' m waiting to see the action at the ANA (Aug 8-12th) as to what's HOT & NOT! Should be an interesting convention..
